The Initiative

Timber Finance is the leading competence center for modern timber investments. Timber Finance unlocks and monetizes the climate potential of the forest and timber industry through modern carbon credits and financial instruments to decarbonize the construction industry and asset portfolios.

Timber is rapidly gaining in importance as a carbon storage. Sustainably managed and certified forests are the easiest way to extract carbon from the air. To store carbon in the long term, timber must be transferred from the forest to large modern buildings, where it not only stores carbon but can also replace carbon-intensive concrete and steel. Around 40% of global carbon emissions currently come from the construction industry. Sustainable timber can change this.

We bridge the gap between investors and the timber industry.
