CO2 Timber Construction Certificate for Swiss Timber Buildings

This overexploitation mentioned in the Tages-Anzeiger article is not new, the overexploitation is known and has been denounced for a long time. One more reason to increasingly deal with Swiss wood or to build with Swiss wood.

The best way to remedy this situation in Romania is to consistently remove the high Swiss wood supply from the forest and bring it into engineered wood construction.

This is precisely the purpose of the CO2 storage certificate developed by Timber Finance, which is to be implemented in pilot projects in the forest and in construction from Q2 2023. In May to June, a webinar will be held for this purpose for builders, architects, engineers and forest owners, where the certificate will be presented so that pilot projects can be entered. In the pilot phase, 1-2 forest districts and planned timber structures will be included per canton.
